Position Overview
Atreides is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Product Analyst to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced analyst with a strong background in intelligence analysis, data analytics, and strategic thinking, particularly on defense and military capabilities problem-sets. The Product Analyst will be responsible for
conducting open source intelligence (OSINT) in support of the creation of new products from Atreides. This role requires analytical expertise, effective team-working and coordination skills, and ability to create structured datasets to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct OSINT:
Use OSINT skills and processes for the timely and accurate
creation of new Atreides data products that meet the needs of defence and national security
clients.
- Data Integration & Analysis: Combine diverse information and data (e.g., open-source information, geospatial data, satellite imagery, commercial data) to generate refined and structured datasets. Utilise data analytics tools and methods to check and test the data.
- Capability Development:
Identify new potential sources of relevant information and data to support product-related research, coordinating findings with analyst team members and colleagues across Atreides.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure structured datasets meet the requirements of the Atreides production system and operational needs of our customers.
- Maintain & Update Products:
Collect and validate
new information
of relevance to existing products by maintaining a broad spectrum of situational awareness across defence, security, and geopolitical topics.
- Risk & Threat Assessment:
Identify and assess emerging risks, threats, and vulnerabilities in national and global security environments, providing strategic recommendations on new potential products.
- Reporting & Presentations: Prepare detailed reports, intelligence briefings, and presentations for senior leadership, clients, and stakeholders, translating complex data into clear, concise, and actionable insights.
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in intelligence analysis or data intelligence, with a proven track record
of assessing military capabilities.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex analytical findings to a diverse audience.
- Analytical Expertise: Strong knowledge of intelligence disciplines (e.g., SIGINT, HUMINT, OSINT) and familiarity with defense and intelligence operations and methodologies.
- Domain Expertise: A deep understanding of the problem sets faced by military analysts, especially with regards to targeting, situational awareness, and intelligence preparation of emerging operational environments.
Preferred:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Intelligence, Data Science, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Technical Skills:
Proficiency with intelligence analysis tools, data analytics platforms (e.g., Python, R, SQL), geospatial analysis tools (e.g., ArcGIS), and knowledge of current trends in data science and artificial intelligence.
- Teamwork Experience:
Previous experience working as part of a team, sharing information and methods with colleagues and proactively engaging across teams.
- Relevant Experience:
Prior experience in intelligence fusion cells and / or specific areas of defense and intelligence operations, such as military capability assessment, counterintelligence, or threat analysis.
