The opportunity:

Flexport is looking for a Marketing Operations Associate to join our Global Marketing team. You will help facilitate our marketing strategy, planning, and execution. This unique role requires a blend of analytical thinking, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills. Most importantly, you are a problem-solver at heart and you love tackling tough challenges and finding solutions to help internal and external stakeholders. Marketing at Flexport is a highly collaborative role – you’ll partner closely with teammates in Sales, Communications, Content, Design, and Growth. You will work cross-functionally with many different team members to help execute on marketing campaigns, maintain quality control, and drive insights from reporting and analytics. You will get the opportunity to grow your marketing chops while making an impact on our small but mighty Global Marketing team.

You will:

  • Collaborate with Marketing Operations Lead to develop a strategic roadmap for website optimization and marketing automation improvement, including testing and implementation of new marketing tools.
  • Track and analyze campaign metrics data to improve and optimize marketing programs.
  • Build list segmentation and pre-deployment testing to leverage the marketing database for greater campaign efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Troubleshoot and QA marketing campaigns, workflows, data issues, and other key marketing operations functions.
  • Partner with the rest of the Global Marketing team on email strategy, campaign and program build, and strategic guidance on marketing automation campaigns.
  • Work cross functionally across Flexport to support business stakeholders on all teams.

You should have:

  • 1-3+ years' of experience either in a marketing operations or demand generation role. Working in a B2B environment is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience implementing marketing automation programs and campaigns, using tools such as Pardot, Hubspot, and similar marketing technologies.
  • Strong understanding of lead management processes and marketing automation best practices, including list management, optimization, data quality and hygiene, and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with internal stakeholders and driving complex projects and campaigns in a fast-paced organization.
  • A deeply curious mentality: you’re excited to learn about complex problems in a complex industry and have the persistence to ferret them out. When you encounter a new software tool, you are eager to learn how it works and can fit into our systems.
  • A true team player mentality: you’re always willing to jump in and help out. Flexport is a highly cross-functional company that requires effective collaboration to drive company-wide results.
  • Bias for action: you have a passion for rolling up your sleeves and getting things done on a small but mighty team.
  • A "compliance first" attitude to keep our regulators happy and enthusiastic about Flexport since we operate in a heavily regulated industry.
