Hyper is an innovative, London-based startup on a mission to redefine how people experience the real world. We’ve built the most accurate and scalable indoor location technology, and have rolled out in IKEA stores across Europe.
We’ve entered a space with huge commercial demand, but previously defined by inaccurate and disappointing solutions, such as bluetooth beacons. Using our new approach, powered by a mix between Augmented Reality sensors and WiFi, we’ve been able to achieve 5x more accurate location than any other solution, with unlimited scale and an amazing user experience.

Our next step is to expand to a range of new retailers, build a scalable commercial process and drive value to our customers through new product opportunities. We’re expanding our commercial and ops team to help us do this.
The Role
Our commercial approach has so far been founder-led, enabling us to stay close to customer needs as we build towards our vision. We’re ready to take this to the next level, with dedicated resource.
You’ll be working closely with our CEO, COO, marketing lead and product teams, building upon existing commercial relationships and being the driving force behind new opportunities. Your focus will be on securing the right customers to drive our current business goals.
This is a role at an early-stage startup. It's not 0 to 1, but more 1 to 10. You should be resourceful, with strong initiative, strategic thinking and comfortable with ambiguity.
We’re looking for someone with existing Enterprise B2B commercial experience, who sees themselves on a founder trajectory.
Over your first 12 months, you’ll have two major goals:
Begin roll out with 5 major retailers
Scale our EB2B process, so we can increase the speed of customer onboarding
On a day-to-day basis, your role will involve:
Build out qualification criteria for our initial set of customers
Qualify each commercial opportunity, and advise the team on whether it seems relevant to pursue
Take customers through from initial qualification calls, through to rollout (steps in between are typically on-site demo, live pilot and procurement)
Build out and manage a commercial pipeline, and regularly feedback progress to our team
Build out a commercial roadmap, so we understand how many customers we need to be speaking to at each stage
Understand customer needs and identify a broader set of commercial opportunities
Work with our product + marketing teams to develop new opportunities to attract customers
Work with our CEO and COO on long-term commercial strategy
Work with our product + operations teams to identify opportunities to scale our EB2B process
Your background
You’ll need to have experience:
working with stakeholders at large enterprises, ideally within retail.
with most stages of a sales cycle, from outreach through to closing a deal. Please be honest about which parts you’re stronger/weaker.
