PlotBox is seeking to hire an experienced Front End Developer who is ready to step up and help enhance the PlotBox product. Working on the Development team, you will play a crucial role in delivering appealing and seamless product enhancements in a fast-paced, agile environment.

As a Front End Developer, you will work closely with the UX/UI team and be responsible for creating an engaging and user-friendly experience by translating design mockups and wireframes into functional components, ensuring a seamless and visually appealing user experience.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for delivering pre-agreed activities within each sprint which will involve:

• Design and develop software using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• Implement user-friendly interfaces using modern frontend frameworks
• Collaborate with team members on project requirements, planning, and deployment.
• Ensure the alignment of design and development goals to achieve a visually appealing and functional end product.
• Ensure that all development work adheres to internal style guide
• Contribute to quality assurance by developing automated tests and conducting code reviews.
• Ensure that all development work adheres to internal style guide
• Implement web accessibility standards (WCAG and ADA Guidelines) to ensure that web applications are usable by individuals with disabilities.
• Build an understanding and, over time, a strong working knowledge of the PlotBox Product
• Stay updated on the latest front-end development trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance skills and bring innovation to projects
  

What we are looking for :

• 2+ yrs Proven experience as a Front End Developer or similar role.
• Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Experience working with JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as Vue.js, React, or Angular.
• Familiarity with CSS frameworks such as Bulma, Bootstrap, or Foundation, and the ability to use them effectively to maintain design consistency.
• Strong understanding of responsive web design principles and techniques, with a focus on maintaining design consistency across devices.
• Experience using version control systems such as Git.
• Experience working closely with UI/UX designers to translate design mockups and wireframes into functional components.

Desirable Experience - It’s not a deal breaker, but ideally you will have:

• Experience with back-end programming languages (PHP, Java, C#)
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Jasmine or Vitest.
• Familiar with WCAG and ADA Guidelines
• Experience in a consumer-facing business - evaluating and implementing innovative solutions for a broad market audience.
