Last year, we performed two spaceflights with two more planned for the next year, while simultaneously developing a drone-based terrestrial application for our technology.Position Summary:As a Drone Software Engineer at a small and agile startup, you will be responsible for full software and interface integration of our payload onto state-of-the-art heavy lift drones, encompassing everything from hardware/sensor selection, flight control and navigation to data processing and semi-autonomous mission planning.We require U.S. citizenship or permanent residency (green card).Key Responsibilities:- Development of software for two-drone formation flight, autonomous positioning during payload operation and SLAM (simultaneous localization and mapping)- Decision-making on hardware selection (compute, sensors, etc.) for different applications- Prototyping user/pilot interface- Evaluation and testing of the implemented solutionsMandatory Qualifications:- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency- Ability to internalize milestones and independently run with them.
